David has lived in Texas since 1982 and claims Sugar Land as his hometown. He has been a licensed attorney practicing commercial litigation and intellectual property for a wide range of clients in Texas since 2002. In 1999, David graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He also received his Juris Doctorate from SMU’s Dedman School of Law in May 2002. While studying law, he was an articles editor for the SMU Law Review Journal.

In 2003, David was admitted to the LLM program at the University of Houston Law Center. He subsequently received a masters’ degree in Intellectual Property and Information Law in May 2004. Since then, David’s legal practice has focused on commercial litigation and related IP matters. He has handled an broad array of commercial litigation cases, including disputes concerning the following areas: breach of contract, non-competition clauses, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, unfair competition, tortious interference, ERISA claims, products liability claims, oil and gas disputes, and OSHA investigations. He is well-versed in litigation matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. David is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a registered patent attorney.
