Sara is a Houston native and received her B.A. from Texas State University with a double major in English and Political Science. She then attended South Texas College of Law where she graduated third in her law school class. After law school, Sara clerked for the Honorable Reed O’Connor, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas. Since returning to Houston, Sara has focused her practice in the area of commercial litigation. Sara joined JDKG in March of 2014.

Highlights

• Sandt v. Energy Maint. Servs. Grp. I, LLC, 534 S.W.3d 626, 637 (Tex. App.—Houston [1st Dist.] 2017, pet. pending). Successful appeal on behalf of Appellee affirming trial court’s decision confirming grant of indemnification to officer of company.
• Obtained 12(b)(6) dismissal for Houston client in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, Greenville Division.
• Second chair in successful arbitration for global client related to electronic transactions and payment systems.
